The act of speaking to, listening to, and sounding out with a coach clarifies focus and moves you along the lines of your intention in a way that is not possible to do alone.

| What's the difference between a coach and a consultant, a therapist, a friend? |
 |
Consultants offer problem-solving advice, therapists heal the past, and friends care about you, independent of your goals.
Coaches are fully involved in the game, focus on direct action and be-ing in the present, and are paid to stand by you through the process of realizing or achieving what you want.
In sum, a coach is a combination of mentor, problem-solver, committed advocate, and friend.
