William Sebrans, Coach
started out as a child in 1952. From there, although memory fades somewhat, various sources have corroborated the following sketch:
Business & Work
Started and managed a successful search firm working with the
techno-creatives of the computer and multimedia industry for 11 years.
Key clients, at various stages of their growth, included: Adobe, Silicon
Graphics, SUN, Microsoft, Macromedia, Oracle and a host of start-ups and spin-offs funded by venture capital firms such as Kleiner-Perkins and The Mayfield Fund.
Tended to spot "successes" when they were up-start, start-ups of 10 people, and before they become10,000-plus civilizations.
Retired from the search business at age 40, in order to do nothing and do it well.
Did it so-so.
Art
Since the Beatles, have played guitar, and over the past 25 years have
performed semi-professionally in various styles: classical, improvisatory, ethnic, Brazilian, pleasing background doodling.
Education
BA in psychology from Northwestern a few decades ago; Gurdjieffian
Enneagram training; Leela Training; NLP Certification; Coach University graduate; Life.
Re-Creation
Love ridge-walking, international vagabonding, any great music
(medieval, big band, ethnic), Socratic argument, discovering old-world cafes, raspberries.
Influences
In the Irish film "The Commitments", the key question for admittance
into the band was, "Who are your influences, man?" (Dublin accent, please).
My answer: Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Ramana Maharshi and their living
emissaries. Also, Lao Tsu, Buddha, crazy wisdom, Rumi, Hildegard, the whole classical consortium of OtherWisers (Goethe, Blake, Bach, etc.), birch trees and anything enduringly beautiful.
Get to the Point Summary
Have notably succeeded and flopped in business, creative
expression, relationship, and spiritual practice - the distilled wisdom from which could be your shortcut to the right path.
